If we assume she was also including the 3,000 after conference then that is 189,000<br /><br />The worrying fact is that the Conservative membership went down during Cameron's tenure as leader of the opposition. If you cant add members whilst facing an unpopular government, you never will.<br /><br />You have hit the nail on the head. Under Blair the membership went up in opposition.
